
Wiemann Lamphere Architects completed a memory impairment unit at the existing Shelburne Bay Retirement Community in 2005. They have recently acquired neighboring property in order to enlarge the campus and expand dramatically the assisted living capacity of the community.
The Lodge at Shelburne Bay project is an assisted living facility with 76 units for elderly persons. The partial basement will connect with the exiting Shelburne Bay facility. The four story building will have community space on the first level including dining, lounge, kitchen activity and salon spaces. The second level will have Theater, fitness/exercise and pool area. This entire building will be air conditioned. The building will be constructed using type 2 construction (steel frame).
