January 2014 was the official kick-off of the $10 million capital campaign for Vermont Public Radio.  $8 Million of this campaign will serve to make capital improvements to their current facility, located on the campus of Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester.  VPR currently occupies the former veterinary hospital, built at the turn of the last century.

The goal is to develop a 21st Century newsroom; providing space by which to engage the community, to increase their studio capacity and develop collaborative workspaces for staff to develop new programming resources. An important element of Vermont Public Radio is their commitment to sustainability of the built environment. As such, the building will be designed to achieve net-zero, meaning it will produce as much energy through renewable energy strategies as necessary to operate the building on an annual basis without the use of fossil fuels. This building will showcase the firms expertise in interior design as well.
