After plans fell through for the planned Regional Vocational Technical Center in 2005, the Center for Technology in Essex took it upon itself to upgrade the status and accreditation of its vocational programs. These were incorporated into Essex High School’s “One Campus” master planning and “20/20” vision for the future.

As part of this project, Essex sought to improve many of its vocational programs including:  

• Dental Assisting 
• Cosmetology
• Graphic Communications 
• Health Information Management 
• Food Service  
• Optometry
