Ken Labas
Project Manager
Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology,
Vermont Technical College, 2008
Ken has always had an interest in Architecture, which was accelerated by taking every design and CAD related course that his high school had to offer. He went on to attend Vermont Technical College where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Building Engineering Technology in 2008. Ken began his career immediately out of college, working for a commercial design/build firm in Vermont. In this dynamic environment, he had the opportunity to collaborate closely with both design and construction teams on a diverse range of commercial projects. These projects span several sectors, including Government and Municipal buildings, Commercial and Educational facilities, and Retail and Hospitality projects. This extensive exposure has equipped Ken with a well-rounded professional experience and a comprehensive knowledge base, enabling him to navigate all phases of a project seamlessly. His expertise encompasses everything from the initial conceptual design and detailed rendering to the creation of construction documentation and effective project management.
Having successfully completed the hours required by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Architectural Experience Program (AXP), Ken is currently on the path toward achieving his licensure as an architect.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Ken has an array of interests that he passionately pursues in his spare time. He enjoys immersing himself in the theatrical and live-events field, where he takes on roles such as installing and operating advanced lighting and audio systems for local high schools and regional concert venues. Ken also is engaged in the age-old tradition of maple syrup production on an 830-tap sugarbush located in Lincoln, VT. Ken also finds joy in designing and building sets and special effects for Mt. Abraham Union High School’s fall musical program.
