The Public Library + City Hall project serves as the anchor municipal building of the new City Center and provides municipal services and a state of the art public library in close proximity to commercial, residential and recreational amenities in the area. The project, which includes development of the new Market Street, is part of a renewed effort to create a new gateway community for growth over the next generation. The project features geothermal heating and cooling (with no use of fossil fuels), 150 kw rooftop solar array, public rooftop terraces and a 100 seat auditorium. The project is seeking LEED Gold certification under the USGBC LEED BD+C v4 Rating system for New Construction.
